MORTICE LOCKS (Fit into a slot in the edge of the door, Choose locks to BS3621 for entrance doors)
DEADLOCK mortice lock with single bolt.
SASHLOCK mortice lock with deadbolt & latchbolt.
SECURITY mechanism can be via internal levers or a seperate cylinder
CASE SIZES are normally 2.5" or 3" deep
RIM LOCKS (Fit on the face of the door, Locks not complying with BS3621 should be fitted in conjunction with a BS3621 5 lever Mortice lock)
CYLINDER RIMLOCK utility lock normally found on entrance doors
LEVER RIMLOCK low security product for use on gates etc
CYLINDER RIMLOCK SIZES normally 40mm or 60mm backset (size from edge of lock to center of keyhole)
CYLINDERS (Used as security mechanism for Mortice Locks, Rim Locks & UPVC Locks)
RIM CYLINDERS Used to give outside access to Cylinder Rim Locks (found on most front doors)
EURO-CYLINDERS keyhole shaped cylinder used as security mechanism for Mortice, UPVC & certain Rim Locks (cylinder length's vary according to application)
KEYED ALIKE CYLINDERS (a single key operates numerous locks)
An unlimmited number of Rimlocks, Euro-profile Mortice Locks, UPVC Locks & Padlocks, can all be operated with the same key. This eliminates the need to carry a seperate key for each lock. PLEASE ENQUIRE WITH LOCKTECNIQUE FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
SECONDARY SECURITY (Security devices used in addition to the main device)
Window locks, Patio door locks, Press bolts,Door Chains etc fall into the category of Secondary Security Products. Generally they can act as a visual deterent offering moderate security. (THESE PRODUCTS SHOULD NOT SERVE AS THE MAIN SECURITY DEVICE)
